Privacy

SpykeVision is a small, independent site with no ads, no tracking and no selling of data. Here’s how it works:

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand traffic: which pages are popular, where visitors come from, what devices they use. Cloudflare’s analytics are cookieless: no personal data is collected, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting. Your browser receives no tracking cookies.

The site also counts page views itself. For each view it stores the page, the time, the country and city that Cloudflare reports, the browser name string and whether it’s a phone. Your IP address is not stored; visits from one day are grouped by a one-way hash that changes every day.

To see how many readers come back, the site also keeps a random ID in your browser’s local storage (not a cookie). It is generated on your device, is not linked to your name, email or IP address, and is used only to count return visits and how far reviews are read. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.

Comments

The comments are the site’s own, not a third-party service. When you post one, the site stores your name, your email, the text, the page and the time. The email is never shown on the site. It is used only to send you a single email when someone replies, and only if the “Email me when someone replies” box stays ticked; every such email has an unsubscribe link. Replies are sent through Resend.

To stop spam, the site keeps a short hash of your IP address, not the address itself. Every comment is checked by hand before it appears. The English and Russian versions of a review share one thread; when you press “Translate”, the comment text is translated by an AI model on Cloudflare and the translation is saved so it isn’t repeated.

To have a comment removed, write to me through the contact page.

Email newsletter

If you subscribe to review updates, your email address is stored by MailerLite (EU-based, GDPR-compliant), and a copy is kept in the site’s own database so no signup is lost. It is used only to send you new-review notifications. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email. MailerLite does not sell or share your data.

Videos

Some reviews have embedded YouTube videos. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play; after that, the video comes from youtube-nocookie.com and YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.

No ads or third-party trackers

There are no advertising networks, social media widgets, or third-party scripts on this site beyond the services listed above.
